Simple Mindedness And Selfishness Writing Laws
I got an email the other day from an eco-friendly website asking why I hadn’t been involved lately. Then they ask if I’d like to take a survey so they could better understand what I thought was important. I replied, I don’t participate in surveys but I’d answer whatever questions they had through a personal email.
They probably won’t ask. There probably just interested in getting me to sign their petitions they send to the government. The government that isn’t interested either. The government likes to take surveys too. I guess the problem with well meaning people now days is they don’t know what the problem is.
Didn’t I write down about ten years ago that it’s hard to solve a problem when you don’t know what it is? One of the main mis-assumptions is that the government is the vehicle for ending Dodoism in the energy industry. The people who own companies like Exxon and BP or the most base, simpletons on the planet. The other place where simpletons and fools gravitate is to government.
We’ll never, ever, ever solve the problem of oil and planetary destruction by pleading with the government. There are simply to many people there who will kill your kids for money. That’s what I mean when I say they’re the most simple-minded people on the planet. They cannot think past the candy store. They never grew out of childhood. They just traded in their biological parents and became wards of corporations and the international financiers.
The only way to stop corporations from destroying life on earth is to clean house from the executive branch down to the city school board. Since we live in a nation with a democratic political structure people can do this in about two years. But they won’t, or at least they haven’t. They repeatedly vote for the same simple minded dolt that can be easily managed by the animals who control the monetary system.
I guess the public can’t recognize what’s right in front of them. Just because someone can memorize a speech doesn’t mean they’re smart or honest or care about others. If we simply voted for people based on what they’ve done, instead of what they say or how they look, we wouldn’t be living in constant crisis. Selfish and childish will always result in a crisis. Want to end the crisis scenario? Stop letting kids run the show.
I saw this headline this morning and had to do what I could to get it seen by as many as possible. Reading it “should” make the problem easy to see. Please look at it, and if you were about to write up another petition, ask yourself – why am I doing this?
Three of Every Four Oil & Gas Lobbyists Worked for Federal Government

Steve Kretzmann, founder and director of Oil Change International
Amy Goodman: Three out of every four lobbyists who represent oil and gas companies previously worked in the federal government. That’s according to a new analysis by the Washington Post. That’s a rate that’s more than double revolving-door standards on Capitol Hill. The oil and gas industry has more than 600 registered lobbyists in Washington, and key hires include eighteen former members of Congress, dozens of former presidential appointees. The lobby’s influence has been on full display in the wake of the BP oil disaster: proposals to enact new restrictions or curb oil use have stalled because of Republican opposition and strong objections from Democrats in oil-producing states.
In this segment, we’re going to take a look at oil and coal, specifically mountaintop removal, but first oil. Steve Kretzmann is with us, founder and director of Oil Change International. He’s at the Netroots Nation conference.
