Coming Apart At The Seams

We’re in the midst of a global systems meltdown. For a few years I’ve been taking a serious look at the way the world works according to the Mayan Calendar and some other ancient writings and thinking about  their predictions. They all say the same thing. They say that, the end of the cycle we’re in occurs around 2012.

What happens at the end of these cycles is the system that ruled the current cycle is replaced with another. The cycles these ancient civilizations were aware of and keeping track of were referred to as Ages, Times and so on. These “Times” have something to do with the orbit of our solar system.

Do I understand this “Big Cycle” and how/why it effects us here on Earth? No, not really. The main reason for my lack of understanding is “hard reading”. I have a hard time getting through all the text. My eyes start to droop and I want a nap.

I’ve gotten most of my information from the researchers who were good enough to make videos on the topic. I have one video that you can watch, See – Ian Lundgold on the Mayan Calender . The video does one thing well; it shows how the Mayan saw ages and times.

If you begin to research this topic you’ll soon start to see that there is little consensus on precise dates. There is debate on when the Kali Yuga began. Yuga means age, time etc., and there are a lot of opinions on to where we are in relation to these dates. What is not debated anywhere is that the great cycles are a fact of the physical world in which we live.

When people talked of destiny and “The Fates” I always thought they were talking about some religious beliefs. Now I have a feeling it wasn’t so much a religious idea. One thing all these people, from way back in history to last week, agree on is that we are close to the end of an age. They also agree that when these ages come to a close there is something cataclysmic, or apocalyptic about it.

If you watch the Mayan Calendar Video you’ll see that the Mayans related time with states of consciousness. Once we start to see this evolving consciousness aspect we can sort of see how things have proceeded and where things are going. We also see that, according to the Mayans, these ages get increasingly shorter. Where ages once took millions of years to develop and conclude they get progressively faster as the process continues to unfold. The last phases, or ages, may only last  hundreds of years. The final stages complete their tasks in decades.

The part that I had trouble with was the ever shrinking or compressing of the ages span. When we get into the present level, time or phase, it’s down to decades. I thought it probably unlikely that what was going on in the world could end in such a short time. The predictions, rough as they are, say that the whole thing could be wrapped up in a few years.

That’s where I hit a sort of wall in my study. I thought, at the very  least, the age forecasters had missed the mark by a decade or two. That it wasn’t possible for things to happen, to change, that fast. Lately I’m starting to see how this could be possible after all. Everyday I get a lot of news letters. Look at some of the headlines from one of them:

Was the Gulf Oil Spill an Act of War? You Betcha
Randall Amster J.D., Ph.D., Truthout: “Speculation has been running rampant among certain sectors of the web world lately about the true origins of the massive oil spill that has engulfed the Gulf and threatens marine, plant, animal and human health in a region already beset by natural disasters and toxic industries.”

The (Almost) Crash of Wall Street
Robert Reich, Robert Reich’s Blog: “Ninety minutes before the end of the trading day today, the U.S. stock market almost melted down The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped nearly 1,000 points. The market regained ground before the end, like a giant 747 narrowly averting a crash landing, but the questions of the day are: What happened? And what does it mean?”

Unemployment Rises to 9.9 Percent
Dean Baker, Truthout: “Nominal wage growth has averaged just 1.1 percent over the last quarter. The Labor Department reported that the unemployment rate rose to 9.9 percent in April as 805,000 people entered the labor force. Even with the economy generating 290,000 new jobs according to the establishment survey, this was not sufficient to keep the unemployment rate from rising. The establishment data was revised up for March to show a gain of 230,000 for the month.”

US Adds Jobs as Markets Look Unstable
Jobs numbers indicate 290,000 more jobs in April, but unemployment rate rose slightly to 9.9 percent; bailout situation in Greece part of reason stock markets around the globe are down; Britain faces a hung Parliament following elections.

Pentagon Bans Reporters From Covering Guantanamo Military Commissions
Nancy Youssef, McClatchy Newspapers: “The Pentagon Thursday banned four reporters, including one from McClatchy Newspapers, from covering future military commissions at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, charging that they’d violated ground rules by publishing the name of a former Army interrogator who was a witness at a hearing there this week.”

Don’t Call It “Defense”
John Lamperti, Truthout: “The Pentagon ‘base budget’ request for fiscal year 2011 (beginning on October 1) calls for about $549 billion, an increase of $18 billion over the appropriation for the current fiscal year. That’s nowhere near the whole story. The administration is also requesting about $160 billion for ‘Overseas Contingency Operations’ (OCO) that goes to pay for wars and occupations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere. There’s also $25 billion or more in military spending outside the ‘Department of Defense,’ much of that for nuclear weapons included in the Department of Energy’s budget. (This $25 billion could be much larger, depending on what is included.)”

Police Across Arizona See Dangers of New Law
Michelle Chen, ColorLines: “It’s not every day in Arizona that the police are so eager not to do their job. Yet the state’s latest anti-immigrant crack down has evoked protests from cops across the state, who fear that a new measure to criminalize undocumented immigrants will only make it harder to deal with local crime.”

Interrogator Says Guantanamo Detainee Omar Khadr Was Told He’d Likely Be Raped in US
Carol Rosenberg, Miami Herald: “To get teen terror suspect Omar Khadr to cooperate, a former U.S. Army interrogator testified Thursday, he told the wounded Canadian a ‘fictitious’ tale of an Afghan youth who was gang-raped in an American prison and died.”

Congress Backs Wall Street, Rejects Big Bank Break-Up
Zach Carter, The Campaign for America’s Future: “Late last night, the U.S. Senate rejected the single most important element of Wall Street reform by a vote of 33 to 61. The SAFE Banking Act would have forced the break-up of the nation’s six largest banks, and dramatically reduced the political clout of America’s financial elite. The 61 votes against the measure are votes in favor of Wall Street’s stranglehold on our economy. No matter what else is ultimately enacted in the name of Wall Street reform, Congress has decided that it will not confront the single greatest problem in the U.S. economy: Too Big To Fail.”

Blood or Treasure? Obama’s Crucial Choice in the Middle East
Ira Chernus, TomDispatch.com: “Writing about U.S. Middle East policy used to be a boring job. You’d start out with ‘The U.S. supports Israel’s stand on …’ and then just fill in the details. No longer. Many pundits claim to smell the winds of policy change blowing from the White House. Every word about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from the president or his advisors is now parsed by journalists like so many soothsayers studying oracle bones.”

Mystery Disease Linked to Missing Israeli Scientist
H.P. Albarelli Jr., Truthout: “Media outlets across the Northwest United States began reporting on April 24 that a strange, previously unknown strain of virulent airborne fungi that has already killed at least six people in Oregon, Washington and Idaho is spreading throughout the region. The fungus, according to expert microbiologists, who have expressed alarm about the emergence of the strain, is a new genotype of Cryptococcus gatti fungi.”

The Motto of Mad Men
David Sirota: “For most of us, conjuring concise and cogent catchphrases is nearly impossible. In fact, the skill can seem like the black magic of mystical mad men. During the 1960s, the most influential of these Svengalis were the executives working in Madison Avenue advertising firms.”

Globalization Is the Contagion: On the Idiocy of Interdependency
Kent Welton, Op-Ed News: “Were there no European union there would be no Greek crisis beyond Greece, Greece would have retained its currency and paid its price for budget problems in the value of its currency. But the stitching together of so many diverse countries and cultures into one unit, with one currency, has presented far more problems than it has solved and, worse, has removed national and cultural liberty, sovereignty, as well as necessary freedom for tariff-based re-balancing mechanisms.”

That was a glimpse of the world in which we live, from one source, from one morning. What do I see happening in the world in this tiny portion from the whole of current events? The entire system is “Coming apart at the seems”. Unraveling before our eyes, at a rate that is really astonishing.

Current System is Imploding

Multiply the above news by a couple of thousand similar stories and you may see why I say the system is imploding.

That was the news from, part of, a morning. One little segment of time. If you just consider how long it took this news to get out, you can see an example of the compression of time the Mayans talk about. We used to gather news, print it, sell it on the corner, pick it up at the rural mailbox or suburban door step. This took time. Everything used to take a long time.

Just getting the news from a single news source took some time. Right now you can get all the news from around the globe in seconds. This is representative of the world today. The Mayans said these last days would take but a few short years. I’m starting to see how this would be possible.

They, as well as other “Time Keepers”, also referenced that the system of each age didn’t let go peacefully. You can research what they meant by that and read their accounts. But here is the catch: The current system of consciousness is power. True to historic precedent – Power is throwing a fit.

We live in an era that could conservatively be referred to as a Mad House. The naturally occurring forces of cosmic nature are saying this age, and it’s represented system (power), is over. How do you suppose Power will react? What will power do? Will all the power consciousness just say, “Oh, okay…That’s cool.” ? Not so far.

So far they have reacted like the enemy is at the gate. They are on an imperialist campaign to conquer the world. This is happening right now. They may not be aware of “The Passing Age” component, but there is strong evidence to suggest they know all about it. Either way, they feel their positions and holdings are being seriously threatened. They are reacting as their nature directs. They feel cornered and they’re fighting for their lives.

Most people I know would say this is not the case. That the power structure has no outside threat. They would say, “Hey, they’re firmly and confidently in control and they’re just waltzing along, free and easy. They’ve got it made.”. Many people would like to trade places with them. This love of power is in the consciousness of every individual on earth today. It’s played out in fan clubs and peoples desire for fame, riches and recognition. Power consciousness is the driving force in the struggle to defeat the current power culture.

All these fantasies and manifestations are aspects of the power consciousness – and it’s all going to end. Our personal state of consciousness, which is power, is coming to a close. Life, according to the time watchers, is doing it. Nothing personal, no judgement, it just goes like that.

So, can all the systems man has devised come crashing down overnight? A couple years ago I couldn’t see it. Now – Absolutely. In fact the more I watch world events, and think about the compression of time in these last stages of the great Galactic cycle, it seems easy and natural. In fact it looks to be well into the “over” part.

I mentioned before how difficult it is to find any real agreement on exact dates and meaning when studying the long cycles. You might start here. – www.world-mysteries.com/Walter Cruttenden – (There are a lot of worse places believe me)

Also: “The hypothesis for how consciousness would be affected in such a celestial cycle builds on the work of Dr. Valerie Hunt, the former professor of physiology at UCLA. In a number of studies she has found that changes in the ambient EM field (that surrounds us all the time) can dramatically affect human cognition and performance. In short, consciousness is affected by immersion in EM fields. Consequently, the concept behind the Great Year or cyclical model of history, consistent with myth and folklore, is based on the Sun’s motion through space, subjecting the Earth to waxing and waning stellar fields (all stars are huge generators of EM spectrum), resulting in the legendary rise and fall of the ages over great epochs of time.” From, www.world-mysteries.com/Walter Cruttenden
