McCain, Liebermann, Push The War on Freedom

“The bill asks the President to determine criteria for designating an individual as a “high-value detainee” if he/she: (1) poses a threat of an attack on civilians or civilian facilities within the U.S. or U.S. facilities abroad; (2) poses a threat to U.S. military personnel or U.S. military facilities; (3) potential intelligence value; (4) is a member of al Qaeda or a terrorist group affiliated with al Qaeda or (5) such other matters as the President considers appropriate.”

The proposed law allows detention until “hostilities,” that is the ongoing dictate from 2001, is said to be ended at the whim of “leadership.” Remember, Senator McCain campaigned for President on the foreign policy of US troop presence to address ongoing hostilities for 100, or 1,000 or 10,000 years.

Let’s be clear on the language of the bill: individual includes American citizens. Poses a threat, potential intelligence value, and considers appropriate exists when the people given this power say any of those words. Therefore, this bill threatens any American with unlimited detention upon the dictatorship of their Furher. As Lincoln warned with giving dictatorial war power:

Study to see if you can fix any limit to his power in this respect, after having given him so much as you propose. If to-day he should choose to say he thinks it necessary to invade Canada to prevent the British from invading us, how could you stop him? You may say to him, — “I see no probability of the British invading us”; but he will say to you, “Be silent: I see it, if you don’t.”

Obviously this proposed law is in Orwellian opposite to the US Constitution. All of you reading these words know this from your high school class in US government, and should have failed the class if this level of information isn’t crystal clear. An American confused whether this law is or is not Constitutional does not qualify to participate in ethical government. (See: The US Constitution

Americans: our time to understand the facts in front of us and act to end this descent into fascism is rapidly approaching a final choice.

These facts are “Big Lies” that are difficult to embrace not because the level of information is complex, but because the Big Lie has implications in its meaning for how far this fascist conspiracy extends. To support this implication: I searched for corporate media coverage of McCain and Liebermann’s bill and found none: zip, zero, zilch; just an online mention from The Atlantic. One of my recommended news sites listed on the right of this webpage, Prison Planet, covered it.

This means complicity in fascist disinformation from corporate media; for a free media in support of the US Constitution would cover the Republican Party’s choice for President and the Democratic Party’s choice for Vice President proposing a bill in abject violation of their oaths to support and defend the US Constitution. I’ve documented CIA disclosure of their infiltration of corporate media, by the CIA Director himself, in the US Senate Church Committee hearings.

The fact President Obama, a former law professor in Constitutional Law will not educate the public, media, or his colleagues is revealing of his complicity.
