Going About It All Wrong

People, me in particular since I deal with myself everyday, are having trouble dealing the world because we don’t know what we’re dealing with.

We try and deal with the world out there, when there isn’t any – world out there. There is something seen – out there – it’s just not – not us. Dealing with life in this, out there, way is like trying to make a heart beat.

The heart beats because it’s us. In the same way that “out there” is us. Is it trying to do something with the us – that is itself? How can we deal with it in any satisfactory way – when we don’t even know – it’s us.

Remember the idea about accepting “success as a concept” instead of little bits of success divided into separate categories and levels depending on where we see it occurring? In the individuals we see it in, or not in, we mistakingly judge the whole. A whole that has no parts except in our imagination. How well then could this approach work?

Dealing with, working with, the “spiritual” side of life. Does life have a side? Where does life end and what we think of as us start? Again, imaginary. No end, no side, no division. How then to effect the that, out there, that isn’t out there? In order for it to be out there it would need a side – a division. So that we could be – over here.

I’ve known for some time there is something – missing – when I try to see the world with thought. I’ve understood at some level that thinking was never going to provide me with a clear picture. The picture though always present to me is one with divisions. It needs these divisions to keep track of things ( I guess ). But the picture it gives me doesn’t represent reality. So far from helping me negotiate the world it leads to a never ending low level frustration.

Couldn’t this constant low level frustration be called stress? What’s the number one cause of health problems? That’s right, stress.

Seeing realistically is seeing clearly. Getting a real clear picture of ourselves and our relationship with life is essential to success. Success, as in succeeding to smoothly and joyfully navigate through the natural world.

To be continued….
