Gratitude Update

I have a tendency to – not like going back. I can’t stand it when I leave the house without a needed item. Whenever it happens a program runs in my head and I feel pissed off – “Nothings going right”. It used to turn into a “Calling myself names” session.

Those days are pretty much gone. Good thing for me they are since berating oneself is the best way to stay stuck in a behavior. Self loathing can lead to an opportunity for change, but doesn’t facilitate the rest of the change process.

This is due to the nature of self loathing – it’s a negative energy. The same happens with lesser afflictions like – I’m not that smart, I’m lonely and the “I don’t have’s” – all of them: money, friends, time, information, skills etc.

This, not liking to go back, means I often don’t revise or add to my original pages – for instance, updated thoughts on gratitude.

Which brings us to the gratitude update. Being grateful for what we don’t see present in our lives at the moment. This is part of the “It’s all good” philosophy. Select any example of lack – whatever you see as lacking from your life – add it to your gratitude list.

Don’t have any clue how to get out of debt? Here are some gratitude list example statements:

  • I’m grateful for the answer to “How to get out of debt”
  • I’m grateful for getting out of debt
  • I’m grateful for receiving the money to get out of debt

The science behind this may be explained in this video The Primacy Of Consciousness. There’s a link on that page to the full video.

The Process

Start a “not the present condition gratitude list” on paper today. List all conditions you want changed. Continue to reinforce the updated gratitude list in your head in answer to those seemingly unconscious “That’s bad statements”. For the next year or two every time we hear our little voice say something is lacking – answer with an “I’m grateful for having that thing” statement.
